Hey there!
Hello flower people!
I’ve always been a barefoot girl and grew up running around outside. It seemed like by foot, bike, or roller skates, there was no place I couldn’t go. Whether at the beach or in the mountains, I loved being in nature. I’ve lived up and down the east coast and spent some time out west too. All of creation is a wonder to me and as I’ve gotten more…seasoned at life I will say….I just crave being able to unplug and breathe in fresh air. I think being home during the pandemic really underscored this need for me, and maybe you experienced this during that time too?
I don’t get out to hike as much as I used to and I miss that a lot. That’s actually one of the reasons I started working with flowers. When I found my time and abilities becoming limited I searched for a way to still feel in touch in with living, growing things on my terms. I still have my full-time job (that has nothing to do with flowers) but working with natural materials and keeping my hands and mind busy are what I do in my off time.
One of my favorite things is to help someone’s vision come to life. Everyone has a story and my hope is that I get to work with more people and hear your stories, your reasons for wanting to savor a memory in flowers.
Come along for the ride as I share projects, some how-to’s, even some trial and error learning (gotta stay humble).
Keep your eyes and hearts open,
Ashley
