Special Projects

One of the best things about my process is working with clients to create something special for your event, a gift, or something for yourself! Read more to find out what it takes to make a beautiful preservation come to fruition.

Flowers are where we start. Things to consider:

  • The fresher the flowers, the better the preservation. I can arrange to receive your flowers shortly after your event to ensure the best outcome.

  • Collaboration starts and ends with good communication. I strive to be sure I have a clear idea of what you are hoping to achieve and will lay out in our contract what the project will consist of and what expectations are.

  • I am more than open to photos you may have of ideas, but ask that you keep an open mind and remember I cannot promise exact replicas.

  • There will only be a few slots for special projects each month and less during high volume seasons. Please book ahead of time.

Material Options

Frame options:

  • Glass and metal hanging frames- these are best for shallow and less dense flowers

  • Wooden glass floating frames- these make a statement and can handle a bit thicker flowers

  • Shadow box frames- these are great for any size or density flowers

Backing/accents:

  • Grasscloth, woven fabric, and other natural materials are a great option for the backing in a shadow box.

  • A poem, excerpts from a letter, or passages of scripture make a beautiful and meaningful backdrop for special occasion flowers.

  • For flat frames or shadow boxes, pressed leaves such as Silver Falls Dichondra or eucalyptus, lavender sprigs, solidago, or baby’s breath will accent the arrangement
