May is my favorite…
We did it, we finally made it to real summer weather. Well, at least 4 out of 7 days feels like summer. The other days, I just shake my head. May has always been my favorite month though despite it’s fickleness, because it seems like the month that is all things hoped for- sunshine, warmer temps, time spent outside, and of course, everything beginning to grow and bloom. It’s a time that I look forward to knowing there’s so many fun possibilities ahead. It’s kind of like planting the garden and being so excited to see the plants appear from nothing more than a tiny seed.
I hope that no matter what May brings to mind for you, you allow that hopeful feeling to take hold and enjoy entertaining the possibilities of the days and weeks ahead.
Fun planting ideas:
Plant a flower tent with morning glory seeds and bamboo poles
Throw some wildflower seeds in those odd spots of the yard instead of grass (use seeds that make sense for your local area)
Create a salad picking section in your garden, or even in pots on your deck- think cherry tomatoes, lettuce, cokes, spinach, carrots
Companion plant in your garden- some of my favorites are marigolds and dill
